White plays an ex-marine in Brazil’s slums, battling the yakuza outfit who attacked his sister and left her for dead. Falcon Rising has already made its way throughout the festival circuit earning much approval.
By the way, this is a franchise, so it will be awesome to see one film a year!
Falcon Rising will be releasing on September 5th, so get ready for some intense action and support the movie by purchasing an official DVD and Blu-ray.
Synopsis: Falcon Rising – The first instalment of our new CODENAME FALCON action franchise. The franchise will revolve around former marine John “Falcon” Chapman, a dark anti-hero driven by guilt, who will destroy himself unless given something else to destroy – a useful weapon-of-last-resort for the foreign ministry. The first movie sees Chapman traveling to Brazil to hunt down his sister’s brutal attackers, in the process discovering an underground world of drugs, prostitution, and police corruption ruled by the Japanese mafia. Directed by Ernie Barbarash and starring Michael Jai White as Chapman, the franchise will produce 1-2 movies a year following Chapman as he is sent to exotic locations to do the foreign ministry’s dirty work.
White is joined by actress Laila Ali, and actors Neal McDonough, Masashi Odate, with Hazuki Kato and Millie Ruperto.
