Unlock Bruce Lee in UFC

EA Sports is preparing to unleash its take on the video game version of the UFC.

Leading up to the release, EA Sports teased a mystery fighter for the game. It’s no secret the UFC president Dana White, most fighters, fans, and pundits alike hail the legendary Bruce Lee as the godfather of modern mixed martial arts, so it’s a welcome surprise that Bruce Lee is the mystery fighter that will be a part of the game!

Along with a June 17 release date, the game’s creative director Brian Hayes explained the decision to include him: “It’s. Bruce. Lee.”

“You have the premier organization in the fastest growing sport in the world, the UFC; and the most iconic martial artist in the history of the world, Bruce Lee – a martial artist renowned for his philosophies that laid the groundwork for modern mixed martial arts”, says Hayes on EA’s blog.

“I can’t conceive of a universe where bringing these two things together doesn’t make sense. I know there are going to be countless fans that feel the exact same way and they will be eager play with such a legend in the UFC Octagon. I am one of them.”

Players who don’t opt in for a pre-ordered copy of UFC will still get the Brucie Bonus, but will have to beat the game on pro difficulty to unlock him.
