Brick Mansions is the remake of 2004 French action film District 13. Upcoming film directed by Camille Delamarre and written by Luc Besson, Robert Mark Kamen and Bibi Naceri.
The movie follows an undercover cop who tries to take down a ruthless crime lord with access to a neutron bomb by infiltrating his gang.
Filming began on April 30, 2013 and the film is set to be released in 2014 by EuropaCorp. Distribution will be by Relativity Media. Following Walker’s death, US release is scheduled for February and French release for April 23. On February 6, 2014 Relativity and EuropaCorp announced April 25, 2014 as a release date and they’ll also pay all the cost of the film’s world premiere.

Camille Delamarre is directing the Brick Mansions movie and Luc Besson, Ryan Kavanaugh, Tucker Tooley and Christophe Lambert producing. Camille Delamarre is an ex-editor who worked before on Colombiana, Transporter 3, Taken 2, Transporter: The Series, so we can expect another well-made action from another Luc Besson’s protege.
The script sees Paul Walker play an undercover cop who is tasked with going into a tenement named Brick Mansions in order to disarm a neutron bomb that is ticking down. David Belle plays his friend. RZA has come aboard to play the formidable drug warlord in the community who is in possession of the bomb. The French-Colombian actress Catalina Denis will play Belle’s girlfriend who is kidnapped by the warlord.
