Ben Ramsey, the director of the Michael Jai White‘s Blood And Bone, is back with a new martial arts short Black Salt. Based on the indie comic book of the same name, the film stars Kinyumba Mutakabbir as an Interpol agent who is out to save mankind from a global threat!
Kinyumba Mutakabbir is a rising star who started in small feature roles in Entourage, Iron Man 3 and The Bold and the Beautiful. Black Salt also stars James Lew, Michelle Lee, Master Xiaojun Wang, Arnold Chon and Panuvat Anthony Nanakornpanom. Fight choreography by Ron Yuan so we can expect a really spectacular fights.
On February 3, 2014, Ratliff launched a Indiegogo crowd funding campaign, which helped provide funding for a quality short film which recently wrapped. The Black Salt short film will be used as a viable proof-of-concept to pitch to investors for the feature film.
Synopsis: With only four days left the clock ticks down towards a new world holocaust. The only thing standing in its path is Interpol’s deadliest black-ops agent, Samuel Tharpe. Sam hunts down the path of a game-changing weapon of mass destruction called the Exterminatus. He follows hot on its trail deep into the ancient land of China where he must seek aid from the Abbot at the Shaolin Temple.
