Official trailer for the Badges of Fury is now online! Looks like the movie is actually an action comedy where a serious cop capable of delivering ass-kicking martial arts against deadly criminals.
Badges of Fury, formerly known as The One Detective, directed by Wang Zi Ming and starring Jet Li and Wen Zhang in their third collaboration after Ocean Heaven and The Sorcerer and the White Snake. Also you can see in this movie Collin Chou, Wu Jing, Michelle Chen, Liu Shi Sh. Corey Yuen, a long-time Jet Li collaborator, serves as fight choreographer.
Badges of Fury began filming in July 2012 in Hong Kong and will be released across Asia on June 28, 2013.
Plot: When a spate of eerie murders erupts across Hong Kong two trouble-making cops are assigned to the case. Young maverick Wang and grizzled vet Huang who is fed up with his reckless younger partner always landing them in hot water. Reaching a dead end after discovering all the victims were former boyfriends of aspiring starlet Liu, the detectives must play a deadly game. One of them must go undercover as Liu’s lover to lure the killer out.
Jet Li united with Collin Chou and Wu Jing for the new cop action film called Badges of Fury.
Last time we have seen Jet Li in a real action in 2007 alongside Jason Statham in The War movie (I don’t count The Expendables, because it was a too small role for such a martial arts star). Wu Jing and Collin Chou last time have been noticed in the Benny Chan’s City on The Siege movie in 2010 (I don’t count historical films Shaolin and The Four). So it’s good to see three action stars together back in action… somebody gonna be hit really hard…
