Van Damme and Lundgren in Black Water

Black Water

Check out the first trailer for Black Water movie below.

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren join forces again for the submarine prison movie Black Water.

Van Damme and Lundgren did get a couple chances to shine together in the hard-core military action flick Universal Soldier of 1992. They tried to repeat their success with sequels but unsuccessful, even with a help of Scott Adkins and Andrei Arlovski.

This time action movie icons have signed on to appear in Dawn’s Light Media’s action film Black Water, where Van Damme will reportedly play an operative who finds himself imprisoned by the CIA on a submarine.

There’s no word yet on Lundgren’s character. The script written by Chad Law reminds the Escape Plan film with other muscle movie icons Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Personally, I don’t think it will be another masterpiece like Unisol but at least Van Damme will get a chance to break out of the submarine prison and beat the crap out of some bad guys on his way.

Black Water is produced by Richard Switzer alongside Tyler Konney and will arrive in the US theaters sometime next year.
