The deeper he medites the harder he hits! NO CGI, NO WIRES, 100% Kung Fu!
Today I want to tell you about independent martial arts movie titled Iron Monk follows the story about peaceful shaolin monk, played by 34th generation Shaolin Master Yanzi Shi, who tries to spread a message of peace and zen in London Chinatown, what brings the attention of the local Triads who attempt to kill the monk and his peaceful message once and for all.
This martial arts movie produced by stuntman and actor Jason Ninh Cao, who could be seen in Guy Ritchie’s Snatch movie. Fight choreography by Vincent Wang, who worked on Sherlock Holmes, Bourne Ultimatum and Shanghai Knights. The member of Chuck Norris‘s United Fighting Arts Federation Roger Yuan also workes on this movie, you probably remember him by Black Dynamite, Master Monk or The Fifth Commandment movies.
Authors promise 100% Kung Fu movie and it looks not so bad if you have seen the trailer below already, but I prefer the modern martial arts and pretty much tired of kung fu stuff and on my opinion Shaolin monks went out of fashion, but who knows, maybe it will be the next break like it happened with Ip Man and Ong Bak.
JNC Productions wants to use kung fu movie Iron Monk to announce themselves as a company ready to compete in the realm of martial arts movies. Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think in the comments!
