The Three Musketeers is back

Here comes the new adaptation of Alexander Dumas novel The Three Musketeers.

While there have been numerous adaptations of the novel by other countries, it is the first nationally made big screen one since 1961.

Synopsis: In the early 17th century kingdom of France, D’Artagnan, a young man from Gascogne, is left for dead after attempting to save a woman from being kidnapped. Once he reaches Paris, he does everything to find the aggressors. He doesn’t know that his quest will lead him at the heart of a war where the future of France itself is at stake, and joins the King’s Muskeeters corps, where he befriends Athos, Porthos and Aramis.

Directed by Martin Bourboulon and produced by Dimitri Rassam and Ignacio Segura. The stunt coordinator is Sebastien Fouassier who previously worked on The 355, Ganglands, Colombiana and many more.

The films star Francois Civil as D’Artagnan, Vincent Cassel as Athos, Romain Duris as Aramis, Pio Marmai as Porthos, Eva Green as Milady de Winter, Eric Ruf as the Cardinal Richelieu.

The film will be split into two parts – D’Artagnan and Milady. The first part is due to release on April 5, when the second part is on December 13, 2023.
